(by Staff, Shaw Media)

On Saturday May 26 Andrew Fraser of Squamish became a big winner when his name was pulled in the Variety Children’s Charity Lottery.

Fraser won the choice of a house or a million dollars, tax free. It turns out the first thing he did was visit a Ford dealership and buy a brand new high powered Mustang, worth 60 thousand dollars.

Just one day after purchasing the Mustang, Fraser crashed his new car. At 5:30 on Sunday afternoon he lost control on a curve in Squamish and slammed into a fire hydrant.

There were two teenage girl passengers inside the car at the time, one of them is believed to be Fraser’s daughter. No one was seriously injured.

The accident is under investigation and police are recommending drunk driving charges.
