Dr. Samra maintains an active clinical psychology practice at the Mainland Medical Clinic in Yaletown, and has expertise in:

  • individual & couples treatment
  • cognitive & learning assessments
  • independent medical evaluations
  • return-to-work facilitations

Dr. Samra is trained in the following evidence-based modalities of treatment: cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and John Gottman’s model for marital therapy.

She provides treatment for a range of presenting clinical issues, including:

  • general life stress
  • relationship difficulties
  • workplace stress & conflict
  • mood disorders (depression, dysthymia, bipolar)
  • anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety, panic, posttraumatic stress, obsessive-compulsive behaviours, phobias)
  • eating disorders
  • borderline personality disorder, self-injurious behaviour, and chronic suicidality
  • substance use and abuse
  • chronic pain

In addition to preferred appointment time, please provide the following information:
(a) nature of services being sought;
(b) name/age/phone number of all potential client(s);
(c) involvement of other treatment professionals, such as a family doctor or psychiatrist;
(d) requested time period for scheduling an appointment; and
(e) preferences for days/times for appointments.
