Private assessment and treatment practice: consultation (workplace mental health); assessments (independent medical assessments, parental capacity assessments, and general psychological/mental health assessments); individual and couples treatment (depression, anxiety, chronic suicidality and self-harm, interpersonal difficulties and relationship issues, chronic pain, and chronic medical issues).

Clinical Consultant, Odyssey Health Services, Vancouver, BC (September 2003 –  January 2006)
Clinical and administrative management of patients, therapists, and medical consultants in BC and AB offices.  Provided assessment, treatment, supervision, and consultation services on an outpatient basis to adults with chronic occupational disabilities with a focus on developing and implementing return to workplans. Assessment and treatment services were provided to clients at the request of third party payers (i.e., primarily long term disability carriers). Conducted coordinated clinical management of patients in collaboration with primary health care physicians, specialists, employers, and insurers. Clinical & Forensic Consultant, Family Court Centre, Burnaby, BC (July 2002 –  July 2003)
The Family Court Centre was a Child and Youth Mental Health program established in 1989 to provide impartial and independent clinical assessments of parents and children who are before the Courts pursuant to the Child, Family and Community Services Act in cases where a Director has had cause to remove a child.  Duties included conducting Parenting Capacity Assessments for Court on children and families who were involved with Child Protection; training child protection workers; being a primary researcher on a province-wide research project examining the quality of Parenting Capacity Assessments; and, writing up research reports and papers for publication.
